Monthly allowance resets

Message and voice allowances are monthly even when the subscription is paid annually. The quota clock follows the subscription’s billing-day alignment. Monthly subscriptions use the monthly billing-period end; annual subscriptions use the corresponding day each month, adjusted for shorter months. Use the reset date shown in Usage/Billing rather than assuming the first day of the month.

Understand the meters

  • AI answers count toward the message allowance; a customer’s question is not itself an AI answer.
  • Voice usage has its own minute allowance.
  • Knowledge capacity is measured separately from conversation usage; removing outdated knowledge can free capacity.
  • API and MCP interactions still use the underlying bot’s service and applicable allowances.
  • Usage and activity reports answer different questions: a conversation can contain multiple messages and answers.

When a limit is reached

  1. Confirm the selected bot and the allowance pool being used.
  2. Check the meter and displayed reset date.
  3. Remove unneeded knowledge if the page capacity is the issue, or purchase an eligible add-on/plan change as owner.
  4. For enterprise add-ons, select the bot that needs the additional messages or voice minutes.
  5. After confirmed payment or the scheduled reset, retry the failed operation once and verify the result.
