  2. Choose a 30-day or 90-day interval.
  3. Wait for the setting to save and check the next due date.
  4. Open a completed period to read its message/conversation counts and insights.
  5. Use the reported questions, problems and praise to review the source conversations and improve knowledge.

When reports and emails are created

Summaries are processed by scheduled work after the period becomes due. A due date is a scheduling boundary, not an exact delivery-time guarantee. The summary notification is sent to the workspace owner’s account email when a report is stored.

  • When a bot has no messages in the summary period, the period is advanced without running summary generation or sending a summary email.
  • No report for an inactive bot is expected behavior; it does not require adding a fake conversation.
  • The period shown on a report describes that report’s input window, which may differ from the rolling 30-day analytics window.
  • AI-generated themes are summaries of activity; verify individual conversations before making a business decision.

If an expected summary is absent

Chat summaries are not exposed through the regular workspace REST API or its MCP tools.

  • Confirm the bot, interval and next due date.
  • Check whether there were actual messages during that period.
  • Allow time for scheduled processing; a busy queue can delay completion.
  • If activity exists and processing remains overdue, contact support with the bot and period. Never send API secrets in the support request.
